Mr. Medina's Physical Education Page

Hello Onahan School Community! I am excited to be at Onahan once again this year. This will be my 20th year of teaching in CPS, second year at Onahan. I have been fortunate to work with many wonderful people throughout my journey, and hope to continue providing memorable and positive life changing experiences to the entire school community. My first year at Onahan was a great experience, and I would like to continue building community relationships with the entire Onahan School community.

I graduated from UIC with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Along the way, I obtained middle school endorsements in Social Science, Physical Education (PreK-12), Music Education (Berklee College of Music Boston, MA), and in 2002, Masters in Educational Leadership from Concordia. It goes without saying, my education has not stopped!

I have been a classroom teacher, music teacher, and physical education teacher throughout my career. From coaching, leading rock band programs, and having a passion for the arts and movement, you will always see me moving or singing throughout the day; constantly staying active!

A proud father of a six year old boy, a beautiful newborn baby girl, and two fur babies, you can see there is never a dull moment in the Medina household!
