About Me

This is my 12th year teaching Middle School at Onahan.  Before that, I taught Middle School in Rogers Park for five years.  Since high school, I have always known I would be a teacher.  It took me a little time to get to it, as I spent much of my twenties touring with an Irish Dance Company.  That experience afforded me the opportunity to see most of the United States and much of Europe.  I then spent a few years managing a large Irish dance school (Trinity Irish Dancers) while I finished my MA in teaching secondary education (English).

I love my job and feel truly blessed to work with the amazing staff at Onahan.  The parent involvement at this school is like nothing I have ever seen.  I am so grateful to the parents and how they support our staff.  I think Onahan is a really special place.

I have been married for 14 years and have two sons, Billy (11) and Declan (9).  I loved spending the summer with them, but I can’t wait to get back to learning.  This year, I can't wait to meet my new 7th graders and have an amazing last year with the Class of 2026!

I’m looking forward to a great year with my amazing colleagues, parents, and the reason we all do what we do … our Onahan students!
