Middle School Writing

Welcome to Seventh and Eighth Grade Writing!

Throughout the school year the seventh and eighth graders will be working on a variety of writing assignments and grammar skills.   Students will write narrative, informative, and argumentative pieces using the writing process.  This includes using a graphic organizer, writing a first draft, peer or self editing, and publishing their final draft.   Grammar skills will be introduced and practiced through formal lessons and during writing assignments.  

The goal for our students is to leave middle school confident in their writing and speaking skills and prepared for the academic challenges of high school.
