Meet Ms. Belz
A little about me—I’ve been teaching for 25 years at Onahan as a kindergarten assistance, first grade teacher and currently as a second grade teacher. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. We will be diving into many exciting topics this year, from becoming stronger readers and writers to mastering math strategies and exploring the world around us through science and social studies.
In my first year in teaching I did receive the Who’s Who Among Teacher reward and in 2018 I was nominated for the Golden Apple reward.
My degrees are as follows:
Bachelors in Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Chicago
Masters in Early Childhood Education from National Louis University
English as a Second Language (ESL) Endorsement
Learning Behavior Specialists (LBS1) Endorsement
