Onahan Olympathon 2013 - Combining the Walk-a-Thon and new team building Olympic
events. 35 volunteers are needed. This event can only take place with your help. Please

The Office of Local School Council Relations is providing FREE workshops in May. All Parent Training Workshops are FREE and open to all parents and LSC Members. Attached are the flyers with dates,times and locations for the workshops.
THIS APPLIES TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN PRESCHOOL AT ONAHAN SCHOOL FOR THE 2013-2014 SCHOOL YEAR. CPS is beginning a centralized enrollment process for families interested in school-based early childhood programs for children 3-4 years old for the 2013-2014 year. CPS has extended the application deadline for school-based early childhood programs from May 3- 24, 2013. More information including the application and application sites can be found at www.cps.edu/readytolearn or from the hotline 312-229-1690. If you have further questions you may contact Ms. Cyndi at calopardo@cps.edu
Kindergarten registration is ongoing. A parent needs to bring 3 utility bills and child's birth certificate to the office to register. Any student currently enrolled in Onahan Preschool will automatically be enrolled for next school year. Please advise Ms. Cyndi if you will not be continuing at Onahan.

Student Council will be selling school supplies at the School Store in the Cafeteria Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:15 - 7:40
Scrip Orders - Next order is due Friday, May 31
Purchase gift cards through Onahan for everyday items like groceries, gas, eating out, gifts, etc. and earn $ for our school! We are still in need of volunteers to help out with SCRIP. We appreciate the parents who have volunteered to put the sign up for order day and take it down. We have one parent willing to help Robynn with the orders. Now we need someone with lots of energy and ideas to get the word out and possibly take over
doing the promoting and Gmail for sending out the forms so Mrs. McNamara can step away from helping. Please contact the office or Robynn Upton (312) 545-5218 robynnupton@hotmail.com if you are interested in promoting SCRIP for the school.
There are plenty of gift cards available for immediate purchase in the office.

The 5th & 6th Grade Girls are O'HARE NETWORK CHAMPIONS!!!
The girls won over Oriole Park 16-2 after being down 2-0! Grace Mosele pitched a great game and had a home run. Rachel Dorsch made an incredible catch in the outfield and had a home run. Erin Metrick had OUTSTANDING DEFENSE at second base and Melanie Englehardt had 2 home runs!!!
THEY ARE NOW IN THE CITY OF CHICAGO PLAYOFFS! The first game will be Wednesday (May 22) vs. the Fullerton Network at 4:45PM.
