Volunteer Opportunities

 Get Involved with the PTO
You don't have to make a big commitment to make a difference! The PTO needs help of all shapes and sizes; here are some ways you can help us make Onahan great this year:
- Decorate your car for Trunk or Treat
- Volunteer to help with the Holiday Shop
- Follow our social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram)
- Become a Room Parent
- Join the Literacy Committee; help with book fairs, literacy night, monthly birthday book distribution, etc.
- Join an event committee; Hispanic Heritage night, Trunk or Treat, The Holiday Shop, McTeacher nights, upper-grade dances, staff appreciation week, NERF Games, STEM night, Fun Run, etc.

Stay Up to Date
Throughout the year, PTO sends volunteer opportunities through signup.com. Check out our current volunteer opportunities on signup.com or subscribe to the PTO monthly newsletter for the most up-to-date information!

Interested in Joining a Committee or Chairing a PTO Event?
If you are interested in joining a committee or organizing one of our many events, please email [email protected]. We will reach out to you once planning starts for the event!

Room Parents
Room parents act as the liaison between teachers, parents, and PTO. The expectation of room parents is not to necessarily be in the building but to be the coordinator of classroom-related fun: small holiday activities, classroom supply needs, teacher gifts, etc. If you want to volunteer for this fun opportunity, complete this form or contact [email protected].

How to Become a CPS Volunteer
For the saftey of our staff and students, CPS requires that you complete the CPS Volunteer Application process to volunteer in the school.

Please click on the link below to become a Level 1 or 2 volunteer.

If you are contributing donation items, a volunteer application does not need to be completed.
